Why is my computer so SLOW now?!?!?

Okay, so within the last week my computer has started running really slow. I had it re-formatted and wiped clean around the first of the year and everything has been fine until lately. And NO, I do NOT download porn, illegal music or movies, or anything else from the internet. This is a work-only computer that I’m basically running only Microsoft Office 2007 for small business on. I already went through and deleted any RSS feeds, podcasts, music I uploaded, etc., that I thought might be slowing it down, but it hasn’t had any appreciable effect. The only other things I really use it for is to occasionally stream tv shows, Netflix movies or sports broadcasts from legit websites (CBS, MLB, etc.). I’ve deleted ancillary programs I seldom use, de-fragged the hard drive, and run the hard drive analysis and done everything it suggests. But still no success. It’s only a 20GB hard drive with about 14GB used (although I have no idea what’s taking up all that space). Any ideas??

Recommend a good microphone?

I am going to be recording my business book on tape. I know that there are a significant amount of choices out there for microphones.

Could someone please recommend a good mic to me? We will be recording the book in our home.

We would like to initially make the recordings into podcasts and then sell the whole book on CD.
If it makes a difference, it is for a guy, with a baritone-type voice.

Anything by Shure or Sennheiser is good. Shure SM58 is a classic (Mick Jagger used one pre-wireless)

I don’t speak like any Typical American, am i stupid and rare??

I’m 27 years old American , but latino. I listen to radio and podcasts or whatever and many Americans, at least the typical ones that you see in tv or in universities speak fast, fluently and can talk about anything without making long pauses. not me, i always speak slow, i can’t think fast and i don’t sound at all like those people.

I’ve never seen, really…never seen any Americans who are the same situation. Am i really rare? Maybe it has to do somewhat with the fact i was shy and never talked since i was a kid so my mental development is seriously lacking..But i mean, i feel like i’m the only one with this problem.

NOTE TOO:
I don’t speak spanish any better than my English.it’s even worse since i did not go to school using SPanish and don’t use Spanish for work, business, ,frienship.
I also never had spanish speak ing friends OR English speaking friends.

Sounds like you’re normal. Spanish is my second language, and you’ll problems doing both. Don’t be so hard on yourself. My college professor told the class about her mother in Chile correcting her on her language (Dra. Bustamante).
