I’ve gotten a request to make something like this, although I’m not sure if it can be done. I’m using Podcast Generator to automatically create the RSS feed whenever an mp3 file is uploaded.
For example, maybe the client wants to create the podcast RSS on Friday because he won’t be around on Saturday. But, he doesn’t want that podcast to be released or downloaded by listeners until Saturday.
Yes, you can use FutureRSS a PHP script which essentially only displays items which dates have passed.

I finally got a chance to see all the podcast for IPODS.
A podcast is a show with episodes. Sometimes an audiobook is released one chapter at a time so each chapter would be an episode. But most audiobooks are released all at onece and you have to buy them.

If I get a podcast from somehwere other than iTunes, it doesn’t always appear in the Podcast menu in iTunes or on my iPod. I always save podcasts into the podcast folder. Just not sure why iTunes doesn’t pick all of them up.

When I pressed delete, itunes used to ask me if I wanted to delete the podcast from my hard drive. Now it doesn’t ask any more, and while the podcast disappears from the podcast library, it still stays on my hard drive.
I’ve had this a couple of times and not just on podcasts. Only way I’ve sorted the problem is to reinstall iTunes or just manually delete the file from your hard-drive.
I used a section of Obama’s acceptance speech, which I got in an iTunes podcast, in a powerpoint for English. I need to include a bibliography at the end but I don’t know how I should document the podcast. How should I do this?
Try Son of Citation Machine, That’s a big help. Also, site it by saying the developer and any other information you know about it as an internet source

I’m subscribed to a podcast through iTunes, but downloaded some episodes directly from the producer’s website. Now I want to add those MP3 files to my iTunes library so that they show up in the list of podcast episodes. Just putting them in the same folder and importing them into iTunes doesn’t seem to work. Under the correct podcast it still says I need to ‘get’ these episodes.
FOUND IT! Here’s the link to how it’s done. I’ve tried it and it does work (clumsy as it is). But it beats having to deal with some podcasts in the regular podcast directory under Itunes and others mixed in with the music files. Using this approach they are all together like they’re supposed to be.
