How to do a Podcast? Software?

I want to put together a podcast. Kind of a music review with local bands, but all done from the internet. No live music or anything, just interviews and stuff. My producer would be in Seattle, and I am in Tacoma area. We want some hardware that has a sound board where we can put in prerecorded clips, and effects and run live with push button add on and such. I don’t know if there is any good software out there. Any suggestions?? We would like to do it live, so we would be doing pre production through Skype or something setting it up.
