I downloaded a few podcasts from my ipod (not through computer) and now i cant get them off of it. I go into ituned and under podcast and nothing is in there to delete. Help please.

Yes just go to your podcast menu press on the podcast and slide your finger across it then a "delete" bar will appear on the podcast just press it and tis done.

I have a 4th generation Ipod Nano. I have very little music on it, however I listen to many podcasts. My boyfriend now has an Ipod Classic. He will download a lot of music and wants nothing to do with my podcasts. We already maintain separate user accounts on our PC, but somehow when he connects his iPod into iTunes it downloads all my podcasts. How on earth do we manage separate podcast libraries but share music?

When his iPod is connected, click it on the left. Then go to the Podcasts tab in the right window and uncheck the box to sync them on his player.

I have downloaded several podcasts from off of their site. I have put them into my normal podcast folder for itunes, but they show up in the music section. I would like to know how to get them to show up in the podcast section, because then they are all together.

What you ought to do is use iTunes to download the podcasts in the first place and let it do the organizing. You need to locate the feed address for the show you want to listen to. Any podcast will have instructions on how to subscribe, or may refer to the address as its "RSS feed". Copy the address, then in iTunes, go to Advanced > Subscribe to podcast… and paste that address there.

Some podcast websites will have a "Click to subscribe in iTunes" button, if they do, then click on it and it will subscribe for you and start downloading episodes right away.

For episodes that you have downloaded outside of iTunes, I would just suggest renaming their genre to "Podcast" so easily find them in iTunes and on your iPod, under Music > Genres > Podcast. This will not however, put them into the Podcast library, rather your music library.

I downloaded some podcasts directly to my iPhone with the itunes store app on the iPhone. I now want to delete these, however when I sync my iPhone with my computer they do not show up in itunes on my computer. How do I delete these?

Plug your iPhone into the computer and then on iTunes, click File >> Transfer purchases. This will copy them to your iTunes Library. From there use the Podcasts sync tab to choose the ones you want on the iPhone. If you do not want any, then choose the option that says Selected Podcasts and then keep all of them unchecked.

This will delete the ones from your iPhone. If you no longer want them, delete them from your iTunes library after you have done this.

How do I copy podcasts from my ipod version 5 onto my computer windows 7 64-bit?

I reinstalled OS, and maybe deleted the files from my computer, but they’re still in my ipod. Can I sync without everything getting deleted?

My hard disk is cramped up from the size of the podcasts, and I want to delete them from my computer. At the same time I want to keep the podcasts on my iPod, but iTunes won’t let me do this.

Every time I uncheck the syncing, it removes all my podcasts from my iPod, and won’t let me manually add my podcasts. But with my songs, I can uncheck the syncing and the songs will still stay on.

Can someone please help me?

Sync them to your ipod, disconnect your ipod, and then delete the podcasts.
